Get to know the Grubhub Driver Card
The Grubhub Driver Card is a payment card used to complete orders that require the delivery partner to pay at the point of sale and Use your Driver Card. These Shop & Pay (in addition to Place & Pay) are orders that the delivery partner or Grubhub places directly with the restaurant on behalf of the diner. Shop and Pay orders are orders where the diner places the order and the delivery partner shops and pays for the items directly in-store
Once you get your Grubhub Driver Card, you need to activate it so you can accept these offers and continue using the Grubhub for Drivers app.
Please make sure to use your Driver Card as a credit card and not use it as a debit card.
To activate your Grubhub Driver Card:
- Navigate to the settings on the Grubhub for Drivers app
- Tap “Driver Card”
- Enter you card’s identification number listed on the front of the card exactly as it appears
- Enter the last 4 digits of the card number
- Tap “Activate”
Ways to complete an order with your Driver Card
When you receive an offer, look for the purple text on the Grubhub for Driver app showing more offer details.
You will need to order + pay
Call or place the order at the restaurant under the diner’s name, pay with your Driver Card and deliver.
You will only need to pay
The order has already been placed with the restaurant, so pick up the order under the diner’s name, pay with your Driver Card and deliver.
Make sure you have the latest version of the app. And remember, to keep these deliveries running smoothly, use the diner’s name, not Grubhub, when you place or pick up these orders.
